A very small part of my job is explaining to a lot of people around the globe how to, and why they should, use a particular Excel spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet isn't straightforward and was designed by a customer.
I don't like it, I disagree with it's purpose and it's functionality.
Nevertheless, my company is obliged to have all it's operators use the thing and use it in the way it was set up.

Although this is a minor part of my job, it's begun to take up a major part of my time, and it is beginning to stretch my day into the evening and over the weekend as well.

I would like my life back.

I occurs to me that I could save about one thrid of the time I currently spend performing these presentations if I could record one as a movie or something, so I can just point people toward its' location on the company website instead of hosting conference calls or travelling to their office to do it.

So, what I need is a means to do it.

I need a way of presenting either static or moving shots of the spreadsheet on my desktop, together with a narrative (probably my own dulcit tones).
If a static presentation, I'm guessing PowerPoint with a soundtrack, or somethiing similar.
But a 'live' presentation would be my preferred option.
Don't need the recipients to see me, just hear what I have to say and see the spreadsheet as I move around it on my desktop.

The presentations I'm currently running last about 60-75 minutes each but I am thinking of cutting this into a number of 10 minute sections.
Probably 8 or 9.
So I would host an index pointing to the relevant information and they can just click a hyper-link to get to the bit they need to learn.

Any ideas on the kind of software I would need to accomplish this on my p.c.?
Need to keep the file size small (for hosting) but also clear so they can see any text I'm showing them.
Option to zoom in would help but is not a deal-breaker.

And remember; Bushy's favourite price is my favourite price.
But I will fork out if I have to.
