I am looking for an Auto Installer program so I can create my own Auto Installers for the missions, campaigns, & patches I am making for IL-2.

I have looked at ClickTeams "Install Creator" and "Patch Maker" software. While the price is great, free, I am unable to get them to do what I want. I can't find a way to pick more than one filepath for the Installer to use when it builds the Installer file. I also can't have it using the name of Install I am creating for the Installation location.

One of the ClickTeam programs may do what I want but I am not seeing it...

We use Click Team for creating Auto Install or "EZ" files as we call them... Wink

While I haven't used it in a while, Fled's using it on a regular basis. Perhaps a quick PM to him would get you sorted... Smile

This has to do with using the ClickTeam program for IL-2 files.
I don't see a way to use ClickTeam program to pick multiple files in different folders and then create the file path with the files and folders I picked.

For example purposes only.
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Campaign\DE\Bf-109\(Use all files in the Bf-109 folder)

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Net\coop\Bf-109_wheelsup_cavu\(Use some files in the Bf-109_wheelsup_cavu folder)

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins\B-17F\(Use some files in the B-17F folder)

I read all the help files that came with the program. Then I looked for a tutorial on using the program and I couldn't find one. My problem is that when I get to the last stage before the build what I am seeing just doesn't seem correct.

what you need to do is create a folder with all the subfolders needed on the path to the destination folders, also look if you can find the path for the Registrykey, then the Installer "Automagically" looks for the correct path an installs it to the IL-2 folder.

After reading your post earlier today I went searching for some tutorials on YouTube and after watching a couple of those I was finally able to figure it out and make the Install Creator program work. My first mistake was that I thought I had to pick the files from the existing IL-2 Sturmovik directory so the program would know where to put them when I was done. Starting with that incorrect premise I led myself down the wrong path on how to create the Installer while using the Install Creator wizard.

Another thing I missed was that when I got to the Install path I could alter the install path default so it would use what I wanted and not use the default. When I got past those two misconceptions I was on my way.

The program was too simple for my complicated mind to get a handle on easily. Once again I over thought the problem. Mr. Green
