This weekend Saturday May 5 and Sunday May 6, 2012 is the annual airshow at Planes of Fame.

One of the more unique features of this years airshow that I just found out about is that there will be three Zero's there this weekend. Two Zero's from the Commemorative Airforce and the Planes of Fame Zero.

Here are some highlights from last years show and some of what can be expected to be seen at this years airshow.

The Planes of Fame 2012 Air Show, "1942 Turning the Tide" will be held May 5th and 6th at the Chino Airport. Clay Lacy and his Lear Jet are scheduled to perform.

Great video..I would love to be there to see that..!!! Flying works of art. We use to have good airshows up here in Ontario Canada, London Ont and Hamilton Ont..but they have seem to flown the coupe. Never missed them when I was younger.

Planes of Fame Air Show 2012 featured an extremely rare 3 ship formation flight of Mitsubishi A6M "Zeros". The first aircraft to take off and the aircraft leading the flight is ‎61-120, the Planes of Fame Air Museum's Zero, which is the only original Zero flying... the other 2 are replica's built in Russia in 1999.

This video will be one of the bonus tracks on the Planes of Fame 2012 Air Show DVD, available later this year.

They did fly a Hellcat at the airshow but not at the same time as the Zero's. I guess they didn't want to give the pilot of the Hellcat any ideas. Wink
