This news was received by a shocked and saddened EURO Command overnight.
I am passing it on at the request of the group's Commanding Officer, EURO_ACBrit1.
Patricularly distressing, as it's one of our own, please spare a thought for both of Bruiser's families this weekend.

It is with sad and heavy hearts that EURO Squadron has this day to
announce the passing of one of its' heroes;

EURO_Bruiser.

One of the earliest recruits of the 607 Group EURO Squadron when CFS1
appeared online, Bruiser was known by the very best players in
RidgeRunners at the beginning of the game's establishment.
He was a lethal opponent, reliable wingman, tactician, and a crack-shot.

John enjoyed both CFS1, CFS2, and IL2 and was especially proud of his
membership of EURO, extolling its' principles and virtues in whichever games
he flew.

When there was a EURO mission on the go I cannot recall any in which he
did not take part, even if they were not his particular cup of tea.
He would participate in all with equal wholeheartedness; Helo-games;
Bombing Runs; Racing Camels (Calais to the Tower of London), though his
favourite was always a good old The-More-The-Merrier Dogfight.

When IL2 was released Bruiser became an instant convert and early
supporter of the 'full-cockpit' display game and his reputation went into IL2
with him.
