Unique M4A2(76) VVSS discovered in Russia
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Unique M4A2(76) VVSS discovered in Russia

Hello,

what seems to be the only existing M4A2(76) VVSS Sherman tank for now has been recovered from the Barents sea in the area of Murmansk, Russia (thanks a lot Patrik for the information). There are apparently two other tanks, which may also be M4A2(76) VVSS, but I'm not 100% sure :

I'm interested in any picture that could help to identify for sure the tank as being an M4A2(76) VVSS, and also if the tank is being restored, in any picture showing its restoration.
