The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

That was at Hohenfels in 98-99.

I had a similiar photo of a tank in my Battalion in 89, that did the same thing.

Guess I need to dig thru the 'old photos' boxes somemore.....

The driver was to slow... applying brakes, wasn't he?
And what about this picture - Western Bohemia (Czechoslovakia), 1988-89, basic training of scouts...

The instruction for trainees was: OK guys, don't worry, these boxy things do not bite... do not move and trust in the driver...
The instruction for driver was: DO NOT TOUCH STEERING LEVER IN ANY CASE!!! THE BOSS IS BELOW THE BELLY ARMOUR - IT WILL BE YOUR TURN NEXT TIME...
