Panzerfaust 3
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Panzerfaust 3
Not about AFVs but maybe interesting,
In the tankbattalions over here is the Panzerfaust 3 introduced. There are two types, the one with a simple scope to aim and the one with LRF and some other gadgets which help aiming

Each tankcompany: total 3 of which one for the artillery observers (Fennek+)and two for the company command group / recovery tank.

Recce platoon: 8 (Fennek)
Staffcompany: total 6 (on the 4 ton truck (YA-4442) and in the future the Boxer. The command group had another 2 PzF3
Battalionscommandgroup: total 4 (YPR and YA-4442) in the future the Boxer

The following types of ammo are in use;
DM12A2 (hollow charge)
DM32 BDM (Bunker Defeat Munition
DM72iT (improved Tandem)

PzF3 will be (is already) deployed in Afghanistan with the Fennek platoon.
