I think I may have said this was an M75 in a post about the nearby M60. Well when I pulled the picture up I see I was wrong (my notes also called it an M59 so my spotting was good, memory bad). This was litterally a case of driving down the street and seeing it in ront of a small NG Armory.

I couldn't find any identifying numbers on it but the paint was thick

I have found the M75's, and the M59 and M84's,(Mortar Version) to be rather devoid of any stampings. My guess is that they were never stamped into very hard and that the markings were easily painted over. This is esspecially true with these "older" vehicles which usually get painted with a brush instead of spray. Sad to see the old gal looking like that.
