Great pic!

Tell your friend Karl I enjoyed his album, especially the pic of the German Neutral Nation Hospital Ship "Helgoland". I sailed on that ship a few years ago on the First LatinAmerican Congress on Autoimmunty Cruise among the Galapagos Islands. It has been refitted and reflagged as the "Galapagos Legend" (after having done ferry duty for some years as well) and is very nice. I had tried to get a tour of the engineering spaces, but was having no luck. Then, I was on the bridge speaking with the Captain and saw the pic of it as the "Helgoland" in Da Nang harbor and mentioned that I'd been based about 60 km. from there and suddenly he summoned the Chief Engineer and arranged everything. Wink

Two BIG diesels, connecting rods about 2.5 meters long, and an engine room as clean as a five-star restaurant! Very nice.

The photo's were great, thanks for sharing. Vietnam reminds me of my two tours in Korea, terrain wise.

Doug, almost didn't recognize you clean shaven and without glasses!!!
