Back pay for Reservist- National Guard employed by the USGov
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

It is interesting to see how leave days are reckoned in different countries. Leave for Regular Force personnel in the Canadian Forces is in whole days, either working days in the regular work week, or calender days. Most civilian employers give leave in hour-sized amounts.

In the US example cited, "... this time off included all calendar days spent performing military training, including weekends and holidays. For example, if an employee who worked his regular government job from Monday through Friday attended military training from one Friday to the next, he would be charged eight days of military leave, even though only six actual work days were missed...."
