Israeli Half-track SPG to identify please
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Here are few photos I took at the V2 Bunker museum at Eperlecques, France. There was a lot of artillery and this Half-track, which I suppose carried an AT gun or a howitzer. Could you please identify it?

Half-track at Eperlecques

Thanks

interesting, doesn't look exactly like anything, even checked my Hunnicutt. Normally whole front of cab folded down without a seprate drivers compartment, maybe a field mod or mod by a foreign user?

Hmm I should mention that the gun is actually missing... IIRC they were six-pounders fitted with a 90mm barrel. Anyone confirm this?

Cool

I mentioned on the website that it is an "Israelian M3 Half-track with 90mm anti-tank gun", referring to the description made on this website :

http://www.balagan.org.uk/war/ai/weapons.htm

"M3 Half-track with 90mm anti-tank gun

The Israelis converted some M3 half-tracks into tank destroyers by adding a French 90mm DEFA F1 gun. (Ian Clarke emailed me to say the halftracks with the defa 90 mm gun were used on the Golan heights in 1967)
"

I think that this description should fit to the vehicle, but I wonder what's the real name of this vehicle in the Israeli official classification..
