Having posted my computer problems in another forum...

I was in the bath tonight, (Sat 16th), when the squaw came running in screaming my van was on fire, well you know what it's like trying put a few clothes on when your all wet, I ended up out on the front street in just a towel...LOL

Sure enough, loads of smoke coming from under the bonnet, (Hood to y'all) I popped the bonnet, dumped a bucket of water on it, disconnected the battery and dumped another bucket of water on it, shut the bonnet and finished my bath off.

The van was a vauxhall combo, a fleet van from work, there is a know problem with the wiring in the engine department and several hundred have been recalled by vauxhall for a new wiring harness...Mine wasn't, I was assured it didn't effect my van...How wrong they were.

I've been on a weeks holiday so the van hasn't moved much this week, only a couple of times. For the last two days it's been stood outside the house.

Don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing yet, one good thing is it was a works van, the other thing is, I was going up to Scotland on Monday for the week to do some work...Not now Smile
