ID help needed
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Thanks Palic, now I just have to figure out why it was on display at Aberdeen 30 years ago when I took the Photo

From the "Inactive Files" it was donated by FSTC (Foreign Science and Technology Center) to the museum in 1978. Current status unknown... Inactive could mean a lot of things...

Somebody might want to look in on the Wikipedia entry for this vehicle...somehow this doesn't look quite right:

"The pbv 302 has wide tracks and a high weight to power ratio, and gives exceptionally good off-road mobility, and the low ground pressure enables it to operate over summer tundra and winter snow."

Don't get me started on "Wiki",

I've gotten to the point that I automatically dismiss anything that uses "Wiki" as a reference. I'm sure there is a lot of good info but there's no way to pick through the bogus from the real unless you already knew it. Kinda defeats the purpose of using it. Google anything and "Wiki" shows up usually first. I guess if you say it loud enough and long enough it becomes fact to many. Case in point our "M113" nut who will not be named.
