The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

ZSU-23-4

I was looking at the above picture and had the feeling that something wasn't right or out of place on that ZSU-23-4. I pulled up some pictures of the ZSU-23-4 here at Ft. Bliss and looked them over. It took a few minutes before the light blub went on!

The Soviet service drive and IR headlights have been replace by a set of US lights from the M113/M114 vehicles!

I wonder if the French have been using that vehicle in war games as an OpFor VisMod?

Roy, those headlights are not limited to the M113/114-series but are used on a variety of vehicles- either the pre-owners already modified it or Saumur used what was on hand. Jens O.
