I didn't see this posted anywhere and I learned this some time ago to really help the way FS9 looks. Apearently the Antialiase settings in FS9 never worked correctly from the factory (imagine MS doing something like that) and therefore it never "looked" right in game. I for one was never satisfied with the way FS9 looked, I always thought it was my system because I never could get rid of the jagged lines, especially when looking at external views of the aircraft from the side. Not until I got a really good system did I know for a fact something just wasn't right. I searched and searched the wonderful internet and found some help...

basically for Nvidia users (sorry you ATI guys, maybe's theres a similar fix) you just have to change some game setting from your nvidia control panel, not in the game itself. I took a pic and hopefully this will help.

So, open you Nvidia control panel

1. select "Manage 3D Settings"
2. select "Program Settings" tab
3. select "MS Flight Simulator 2004" from the menu.

Simply copy the setting I have set here in bold, and save and it's done. Now fire up the game and see if there's a difference, it made a HUGE difference on my game appearence and I didn't notice a framte hit at all. No garauntees, if it don't work for you or it's to hard on your system just try changing it back or just some different configs and see if that helps.

just wondered but would the same settings work for my 7800gs?
I noticed you have the 8800 an was wondering if it needed further tweaking or would these settings be global regardless of the card?
mine is a BFG 7800gs OC edition
rest is
MSI MOBO
Athlon 64 3300+
1.5 gb DDR ram
BFG 800 watt ps
