I stumbled across a site on the internet the other day that I thought would interest others who haunt this forum. Perhaps it is well known to others out there but I have not seem it come up so I thought I'd mention it. If you go to waymarking.com, then click on "click here to view the complete waymark directory", then click on "Memorials/Monuments", then click on "Military Ground Equipment Displays" you finally come to a list of places very much like the old Geocaching site "Tanks for the Memories" which was hugely valuable to those of us who like to hunt for tanks when we are traveling. This site is not as large as Tanks for the Memories, but has definite potential. It's members are logging all kinds of military memorials but so far AFVs are the dominating subject. Each entry includes pictures, GPS coordinates and a map to help locate it. At present there are only 8 pages and 189 entries, but I have already noticed some that I cannot find on Neil's AFV Register. If you are reading this Neil, sorry for the extra work, but it's a labor of love isn't it? As I said, if this is well known already please let me know and I'll delete this note, if not well I am glad to have contributed to the effort to find all the AFVs on display everywhere.
