Post subject: FS2004 Repaints

I was commissioned by one of the boys over at FSEconomy to come up with a red white & blue "aged" paint scheme using the nose art provided by him...took me awhile to figure out how to paint the Howard but overall I'm pretty pleased with the results...could've been better but I'm not that good yet. Thanks for looking! Any suggestions on improvement would be greatly appreciated

Post subject: Anyone thinking of buying a new Graphics card anytime soon?

If you're thinking in terms of "SLi" or "Crossfire", my advice would be to hold off for a while.

SLi is nVidia's technology for combining graphic cards.
Crossfire is ATi's version.
Both technologies are rather restricted, being that neither works with the other.
But there's something right around the corner which could replace both altogether by combining them to take advantage of the best bits of each.

It's called "HYDRA".

DAGNABBIT!!!
I don't believe it!

Sorry Rixster.
There's a database problem somewhere:
Every time I try and post in "Hardware" it pulls a thread in from somewhere else and tags my post onto the end.

Will try and get Bushy to rectify as soon as he has a spare night to spend doing it and not 'Flossy'.
Wink

Sorry Rixster,

With the move of the site we also implemented a new "pest control device" hence the tree rat can't post that often anymore Twisted Evil

As for the graphic cards, when possible hold off till the last quarter of this year, some very interresting stuff coming up and also that makes the now top cards come down in price Wink

Post subject: Re: FS2004 Repaints

you need to have the access codes for the server

you'll need an ftp proggy to be able to upload files to the net

then you'll need to get the links in the right place so people can download it

question comes to mind is wich size is that file ?

in case of mail it to me and I can upload it to the servers

The files can be uploaded directly to the download section if:

1) The files are smaller than 2mb. If they're over that, an Admin will have to do it for you. Smile

2) You have to be a member to upload.
