These are a few photos of a piece I am a bit confused by. At first it appears to be a Soviet 100mm T-12 Anti-Tank Gun but the recoil cylinders stick out a bit too far beyond the shield. Also the shield is a completely different shape than the T-12. Any ideas?

Many features really looks like a T-12, but clearly it's not a T-12...
Could it be chinese instead of soviet?
Looks like there are chinese designs based on T-12:

I checked 125 mm anti-tank too, but that's a totally different beast.

It is a puzzling one. The Chinese 100mm Type-86 looks similar but has a recoil cradle that extends much further out from the shield.

The example in the photograph was apparently captured in Iraqi in the 1991 war. I wonder if this could be a local Iraqi modification. That said, I do not remember seeing an example like this while I was at the Iraqi main depot in Taji.

Looks like a Resita A407 100mm rifled AT gun to me (the old 1977 version, not the modernized ones).

The Resita A407 100mm looks like a perfect match. Thanks very much.

You're welcome. Do you have any more info about this specific artillery piece? Is it on display somewhere? I just can't seem to find any info about Romanian artillery exports to Irak before 1991. In fact, it came as a surprise to me that the A407 was exported at all.

I know very little about this one other than it is currently property of Ohio Army National Guard (U.S. Army) and was apparently captured by a Ohio National Guard Transportation Unit in the 1991 war with Iraq. They contacted me trying to identify it.
