AFV in Greece
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

From what I understand, that Sherman is a US build M-4A1.
The detail difference can be seen in the tracks and the sprockets.

Grizzlys use a type of track block call "Canadian Dry Pin" (CDP) which uses a single pin to contect one block to another. What is called a "dead track". That type of track block requires a sprocket with a different type tooth pattern from the other types. The teeth look somewhat like a single finger.

All the other Shermans use a "live track" with two pins per block contected by "end connecters" and the sprocket teeth look like pyramids pointing outward from the center.

If I am looking at the correct vehicle, then that vehicle has a "live track" block assemble.

That's correct, however lots of Grizzly owners have changed the tracks to more common Sherman type tracks.

Not necessary, Canadian Grizzlys used American cast hulls. All where build by General Steel hence the G in the shield. I know it's not enough to be sure its a Grizzly but the chance of a surviving M4A1 casted by General steel is much smaller than a Grizzly in this part of the world.

Hard to say.. given that a lot of ex-Grizzly tanks have been sold by Portugal in the 1980s, there is more chances that it is a Grizzly rather than an M4A1. Hard to say.

I'll second that. There used to be a Grizzly named Angel of Freedom in Belgium. If this is the same, it is a Grizzly which was retrofitted with rubber tracks (the orginal CDP track being weighed in at the scrapman...) and a non-original engine. I know the Belgian owner sold it, so it could well have ended up in Greece.

Is it a Centaur or a Cromwell? There aren't many preserved Centaurs. It's not a good picture but what are the tracks? They look like 432 APC tracks similar to what the Overloon museum did with their Cromwell.
