OFF TOPIC Internet question - connection problems

Post subject: OFF TOPIC Internet question - connection problems

I used a devolo 200 av wireless n starter kit which uses the electricity net in house as ''antenna'' to boost the signal.

Since I week this doesn't work anymore, so I have only the signal from the router. But since the problems I have noticed a SSID which is named BRCM_Test_SSID.

It is not from the neighbours , it is unprotected but impossible to connect with.

What is this and is this the cause of my problems and how to get rid of it.

One of the advantages of being registered here is that you have access to post in all of the forums (of which you might not be aware). You might want to back out to here:
