M88 with 3.5in Bazooka or M72 LAW?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Would an M88 with the 24th Inf in Germany in 1966 still carry the 3.5 bazooka, or would that have been replaced by the M72?

M72 was classified standard in '61 and the general rule was that USAEUR tended to get the new stuff first, so M72 would be a good guess.

That said, I know some units in VN still had the 3.5 in service as late as summer, 1965, so either would be possible, I suppose.

Somebody over here* ought to know for sure. Scroll down the left menu. They have a guestbook.

That would be my guess, got 'em as they filled the inventory.

I should add that the use in VN I'm referring to was an SF CIDG camp in 1965 where it was used to take out a MG in the District Building during an over-run. The MOH citation is here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...._Williams

Williams survived. the "volunteer" referred to was also awarded the MOH, though posthumously, and was the first award to Naval personnel in the conflict and the only Seabee ever to be so recognized.
