The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

At tanknet I found the following link about a private owner which has a czech built T-55. www.nsnews.com/issues0.../news.html Someone who can tell more about this tank?? The unit(?) emblem on the searchlight looks Soviet / Russian to me. But I can not remember that the Soviet Union bought Czech T-55's. Regards, Lesley

I doubt it highly that the soviets ever bought czech made T-55s as they had enough of their own. But once that tank is in your hands you can paint whatever you want. The turret numbers and star actually reminded me of a Chinese tank.
