The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Neil,

Great pictures. I see M60A1 7512 has been repainted from her USMC markings that she sported when delivered. I also noticed the range finder blisters have been replaced. Every USMC M60A1 I've seen had the rangefinder removed when demilled and the blisters left off. I'm betting 10425 is also a former USMC tank. BTW, this one is now the highest serial numbered M60 I know of now still around thanks to you. Only other 5 digt one I'm tracking is in Bouse AZ, I believe another former USMC tank. Although there is a chance one of the tanks at Chiarco Summit CA might be.

Thanks,

Joe D

So They have Two scorpions (also... Cool )??

Thats cool. I starting to do some digging on the M56. Its about as bizarre as the M50. One of my original reasons for becomeing interested in it. Not much written about it either, I'll bet. (Oh NO !!... A new quest... Rolling Eyes )

I'm gonna post the 'Birthday Video' my sister did for me last year, to 'You Tube' i the next few days. A lot of vehicles are shown, as well as a very embarrassing set of photos and some real silly music.

I may have to reedit it, just too much 'ammunition' for some of the 'wise-guys' on this board. Mr. Green

Good job Neil

Regards
Don
