Abrams Mechs Wanted/M104 Wolverine
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I saw an ad where they are looking for Abrams mechs at Fort Hood. It says you will also be working on the M104 armored bridge. I didn't know the Army had bought these. Is that new? If anyone is interested they are paying $19 an hour. 19K's welcome to apply. I think it's a company recruiting for General Dynamics. Army has had a small number leftover (44 according to wikipedia) since the initial procurement. I heard that many of them were at Hood - which is natural with III Corps being there (almost certainly corps-level engineer assets) and saw one or two at Knox some years ago. Neil

I remember them running around Hood back in 1999-2000, when 4th ID was testing them. Of course that is real outdated info, but it make sense that they are at Ft Hood. Regards Don
