M7B1, Slippery Rock PA?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: M7B1, Slippery Rock PA?

This was sent to Hanno Spoelstra and posted on the G104 Yahoo group:

>Mr. Spoelstra,

>Good day! My name is Brady Crytzer and I am currently working with Slippery
Rock University in Western PA to properly identify and trace the history of
a "tank" that has resided in their local community park for over 40 years.
Though the transport is badly weathered, I have determined to actually be an
M7-B1. There are many indicators on the machine, and I have listed them
below. I was hoping you could point me in the correct direction to attempt
to trace its military history. This machine deserves proper recognition.

Any one have any info on this? I am nearly certain that this is NOT the one originally listed as being in Apollo PA as the Apollo vehicle was moved only about 10 years ago.

I would go check this out but we have about six inches of snow and ice on the ground right now (they probably have twice that) and more is on the way. It's going to have to wait for a thaw.
