Korean War Armored Car
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I discovered this thread and website from a thread on the Missing-Lynx modeling site. A friend from Armorama uploaded to these same photographs I had posted there to Missing-Lynx. One of the replies provided a link to this thread.

I want to clarify and provide some background on this armored jeep. I obtained scanned copies from a buddy of mine (Don) from 4/17 Inf and a fellow member of the 17th Infantry Regiment Association. Anyways, he was loaned the original photographs so that he could scan them. If I recall correctly, Don got the photographs from the individual who took them and was also assigned to the unit it belonged to.

Anyways, this heavily modified jeep, was built, operated and owned by the 17th US Infantry "Buffalo" Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, during the Korean War.

Currently, Don and I are trying to find more information on this vehicle. Plus I have a goal to try and reconstruct it in 1/35 scale.
