Surviving Panzers website
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hello Massimo,

welcome on the board and many thanks for the update. Any idea where this tank could be located?

Since late 2007 the G-13 is no longer in Morges's artillery museum.
As far as I know it was donated to a french museum, since in Morges there was no way to store it indoor.

The Morges's museum is still worth a visit since it keeps some esotic swiss artillery.

From swamp, i think.
Rebuilt from two stugs, as i can see. Looks like late series vehicle with remote controlled MG mount, but with old gun mask without coaxial MG and early MG mount - with shield.

Thanks Taranov for this update. Any idea where this StuG could come from? (a lake or a swamp, a former private collection or museum etc..)?

oppozit.ru/modules.php...ic&t=29696

StuG 40 Ausf.G from private collection. Riga, Latvia. Engine and another internal equipment in bad condition, need restoration.
Also on the photos remains PzKpfw IV Ausf.H or Ausf.J, same location.

Thanks Neil, I hope that I will be able to help you for the UK register. A big challenge as there are several private owners there !!

P-O,
An addition for your British Light & Medium Tanks file - discovered while researching the Bovington website for my new UK AFV Register:

Thanks for the corrections.

One more new file published yesterday :

Sherman-based "Funnies" : Sherman M4A4 Crab, Sherman Duplex Drive, Sherman BARV

P-O, the Vickers-Carden-Lloyd Model 1937 at the top of page 6 is at Kubinka, not Bovington.

The APG Mk VI is supposedly a Mk VIB.

The APG Medium Mk II is supposedly a Mk IIA.

You can check the USA AFV register for background on the APG examples...

New files :

the last British tanks file :

Valentine Infantry tanks, Archer Tank Destroyers

the long-promised Italian tanks file :

Italian World War 2 medium, heavy tanks and self-propelled guns : M13/40, M14/41, M15/42, Carro Pesante M26/40, Semovente M40 da 75/18, M41 da 75/18, Carro comando M42 da 13,2mm, Semovente M42 da 75/18, M42 da 75/34, M41 da 90/53, Semovente da 149/40

What's next ? (not sorted by priority order and not exhaustive..)

-some special Sherman tanks, maybe 2 registers, 1 with DD, BARV and Crab, the other one with Dozers
-Australian/Canadian tanks
-M3 Lee Grant
-M22 Locust
-Japanese tanks
-Russian armored tractors and tankettes
-French armored tractors and tankettes (not only Renault UE but also Lorraine)
-Italian tankettes
-Interwar (from 1919 or 1920 to WW2) tanks from non-neutral countries (for example Stridsvagn m.21-29, Hungarian tanks etc..)
-Intewar/WW2 tanks from neutral countries

-German Half-Tracks
-Some pre-1945 armoured cars...

OK, I'will change the others. For the one in Bergen, I found a photo were you can see the tank in the background. Btw the Sherman is also not on this spot anymore. Were they are gone, I don't know.
Thanks!

Lesley
