Finnish AMOS 120mm Mortars
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

So cool! I love the "turret look" although the Stryker with the 105 mounted on it is bad looking as well!!

MORTARS!!!!!!
The topic I love. Those appear to look as if they could fire in "direct-fire" mode as well. Imagine both barrels pointed your way as you sit in a bunker looking out. Man I'd love to see these in action. Any info on their capabilities/range?

For technical data take a look at Patria's site (www.patria.fi):

www.patria.fi/modules/...t=2005_eng

The roll-out of the first two AMOS mortar vehicles took place on Tuesday 28th March 2006 at PWS facility in Vammala. The lower pic is from that occasion.
